Hell Just Got a Little More Crowded

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee just demonstrated why the Dems ought never to be trusted with leadership in our country again. In a recent ad posted here they show an image of flag drapped coffins along side a call to contribute to the DCCC. You can see a screen capture of our heroes coming home here. We don't have any evidence of anyone at the DCCC having a conscience that I can link to.

Hat tip: www.redstate.com.

Update: The DCCC has removed the ad from its website after an onslaught of criticism.

In Memoriam

On June 26, 2006, Korean War Veteran, Bucknell trustee, businessman, BUCC Alumni Board of Advisor's member, and friend Lee Idleman passed away at the age of 73. Mr. Idelman will be remembered by those of us at the BUCC for his generosity, his kind heart, and his good humor. He will be missed by all of us.

Mr. Idleman graduated from Bucknell in 1954 with a BS in commerce and finance. An avid supporter of the ROTC program, he became acquainted with the BUCC through former President (and ROTC student) Matt Gabler '06, a Bison Battalion cadet. Lee was Chair Emeritus of the University's Board of Trustees, having chaired the Board from 1990 to 1996. The 1994 winner of the Loyalty to Bucknell Award, Lee endows the Idleman Family Scholarship.
